In-Between
Choreography by Meggie Belisle
Music: “Enigma for the Night” by Jocelyn C. Chambers & “Tel” by Invoke
Costuming: Meggie Belisle
Dancers: Meggie Belisle, Elaine Fields, AJ Garcia-Rameau, Jordan Miller, Kanami Nakabayashi, Hannah Requa, Connor Timpe
Program Notes: In-Between was inspired by the experience of dancers not dancing. It reflects the displacement experienced when we feel outside of who we are or where we believe we are meant to be. For any unique or all too familiar reason, there always comes a time in a dancer’s career to sit back, sit out, or move on. Whether this shift is forced or chosen, it is usually painful. As dancers, we find our breath, purpose, & community through our movement; it is a force that lives within us & not just a job that we do. This work was created as an acknowledgement to those who are currently on the sidelines. Your value has never changed. And you are seen.
~
The Unpaved Way
Choreography by Navaji David Nava
Music: “Mirror Maze” & “Sunwalker” by Invoke
Costuming, & Projection: Navaji David Nava
Dancers: Aidan DeWitt, Rachael Hanlon, Kayla Hoover, Penelope Morejon Molina
Program Notes: This work is a meditation on the inner journey we all must take — a passage through fear, loneliness, & uncertainty, where growth comes not from avoidance but from encounter. At its heart, it speaks to the quiet power of choosing the unknown, and the transformative wisdom found just beyond the thresholds waiting for each of us.
~
Alchemy
A Musical Interlude
Music: “Alchemy” by Invoke
~
Vanishing Point
Choreography by Calvin Hilpert
Music: “The Quiet One” by William Grant Still
Costuming: Robert Pagels
Dancers: Meggie Belisle, Kayla Hoover, Kanami Nakabayashi
Program Notes: Three figures stand at the edge, where land meets the unanswering vastness. They wait—breath held, hearts tilted toward a silence that deepens with time. This work traces the quiet aftermath of hope unfulfilled. It moves through the body’s response to absence: the weight of memory, the ache of longing, the tremble of unanswered questions. As time passes, the waiting transforms—not into forgetting, but into something else. What remains is not a resolution, but a recognition. And in the company of one another, a choice: to turn away from the edge, and step into the unknown terrain of what comes next.
~
Dummy Suite
Choreography: Jordan Miller
Music: “Only Ever Us” by Paul Wiancko
Costuming & Projection: Jordan Miller & Navaji David Nava
Dancers: Rachel Cox Culver, Elaine Fields, Penelope Morejon Molina
Program Notes: A playful & sarcastic exploration of the way society packages & sells femininity, and the reality of living up to those expectations.
~
Ravel, Unravel
Navaji David Nava & AJ Garcia-Rameau
Choreographic Collaborator: Aidan DeWitt
Music: “Breathe, Laugh, Cry, Repeat” by Alan Retamozo
Costuming: Navaji David Nava
Dancer: Aidan DeWitt
Program Notes: Feeling trapped in a monotonous & uninspired routine, one wonders how to exit this pattern of behavior. It turns out, it isn’t until looking inward that the light within—the heartbeat—permeates the world around us, and the joy of a new perspective breaks us free.
~
Sophisticated Ladies
Choreography by AJ Garcia-Rameau
Music: “Sophisticated Lady” by Duke Ellington & “Voodoo Child (Slight Return)” by Jimi Hendrix

Geoff Manyin
INVOKE MUSICIAN
Geoff is passionate about scrumptious vegan food, always searching for Austin's best tacos, Thai, or tofu scramble. Don't forget about good drink too - just be sure to think twice before asking him about whisk(e)y. An avid videogamer, you'll often find him enjoying a role-playing game, a story-rich one-off, or whatever may strike his fancy that month. Sometimes though, all he needs to be happy is a stroll through a local park on a crisp afternoon, a great Netflix show, or a nice chat with an old friend.

Zachariah Matteson

A man of many origins (i.e. Maryland, Siberia, Montana), Zach is proud to call Austin, TX his home base. When he's not making tunes with Invoke, you can find him at a local coffee shop writing down some haikus, slurping down ramen from Ramen Tatsuya, or adding to his crazy collection of shirts from the local goodwill.
On Ambition
stardust coats our souls
a "misfortune" befalling
those who seek the light

When he isn’t performing and teaching with Invoke, Karl enjoys baseball, board games, and walking his dogs, Kora and Max. A huge baseball fan, he follows the Cincinnati Reds avidly and listens to as many games as possible, usually when running at the park. You can often find him enjoying a beer at a trivia night somewhere in Austin, TX.

Nick Montopoli

When he's not banjo pickin' or fiddle scrapin' with Invoke, you might find Nick in his home studio recording his compositions for an indie film, video game, or upcoming album.
