Ventana Ballet is seeking professional dancers with strong ballet, contemporary, and modern experience. As these shows are immersive in nature, a strong theatrical presence is also important. About the Upcoming Shows

Ventana Ballet is seeking professional dancers for 2023 productions. Take a look at our season lineup here.

About the Contract Period

The contract period consists of residency before and during the production period. Dancers are expected to be available for the entire residency, though the schedule will be itemized and pared down on a daily basis. General Info About How We Work

Ventana Ballet performs a variety of different shows (mixed repertory, story ballet, site-specific, immersive theater, and more). To suit the needs of each upcoming production, the company has a rotating roster of artists; this means we do short contracts on a per-show basis. Ventana Ballet does most of its casting through “Casting Workshops” that are announced just before the next show. Depending on the production, the residency period leading up to it varies.

What to Expect

The content of the Casting Workshop varies depending on the needs of the upcoming show. Sometimes, this includes Ventana Ballet repertory, and sometimes this includes acting exercises. Take a look at our season lineup to get a better idea of what’s on deck. We encourage you to come to a Casting Workshop (or class!), even if you’re looking to audition for a future show date. Please bring socks, ballet shoes, and pointe shoes. Not all dancers perform en pointe, so don’t be discouraged; the pointe portion will always be separate!
